Weather Alerts and Forecast
Gosport Weather operates a free e-mail mailing list service for delivering weather warnings, reports and forecasts!
We send out a variety of regular weather reports as detailed below:
- Daily weather reports sent at 07:30 each morning showing the last 24 hours of weather data.
- Weekly weather reports sent at 20:30 every Sunday evening showing the last 7 days of weather data.
- Monthly weather reports sent at 00:15 on the first day of the new month showing the previous months weather data.
Weather Forecast e-mails are sent at 19:25 each day.
Weather warning e-mails are sent as and when the weather has reached or exceeded the thresholds detailed below.
To register for this service please visit our Mailing List Info Page.
How does the warning service work? The thresholds within the Weather Display software are set by Gosport Weather and if any of these are exceeded then an e-mail is automatically sent to our mailing lists.
These warnings and alerts are for actual weather events that have already happened, they are not a replacement for the advanced warning service from the UK Met Office!! Gosport Weather will continue to use UK Met Office data to display advanced warnings on our homepage and flyer.
The alarm thresholds are as follows:
