About This Station
Gosport Weather uses a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station to collect weather data. The data is collected every 2 seconds and the website is updated every 5 seconds. This website uses Weather Display software to log and upload data to the website. The station consists of an anemometer, rain gauge, thermo-hydro sensor, additional temperature sensor, UV and Solar sensors and a Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station which consists of four soil moisture sensors, four temperature probes and a leaf wetness sensor. Sensors are situated in optimal positions for the highest accuracy possible. The station is approximately half a mile NNE of Gilkicker Point on the Alverstoke Green housing estate.
The weather equipment used by Gosport Weather was supplied by Weather Front Ltd.
